The Good During Quarantine

With the main focus being on COVID-19 lately, I've decided to highlight the good being done in the world during these pressing times. Many restaurants and small businesses are suffering right now due to this pandemic, but they are still finding a way to give back to their communities.
Let's talk about Nicola's Pasta Fresca located in Kenilworth, NJ and meet the owner Nicola! As a young boy he learned how to cook from his grandmother and his love for cooking grew from there. He attended culinary school in Italy at the Italian Culinary Academy and received a Grand Diploma Degree. Since then he uses what he learned in his studies and puts it into all his dishes and it truly shows. All of his dishes are made with the freshest ingredients from scratch and then hand rolled. Talk about genius! Being Italian myself, it sounds like something I need to get my hands on.
As if that does not sound amazing enough, during this difficult time Nicola is offering free delivery in 3-5 days with no contact service. After hearing that, there is really no excuse not to get your hands on some of that pasta! They have been donating a portion of all sales to buy lunches to be delivered to hospitals and essential workers, as well as donating to Atlantic Health System non-profit. This supports hospitals and front line workers. Nicola has also partnered with another local business Bovellas located in
Mountainside, NJ. With that they are delivering sandwiches, pastries and cookies to our front line workers. This is what giving to our community is all about!
As well as ordering online and receiving no contact delivery, Nicola's pasta can also be found at farm stores. I will link the website below so you can see if there is one located near you. During this time it is extremely important we support small local businesses. To all my fellow Union County residents, I highly recommend supporting Nicola's Pasta Fresca.
